The great thing about Pinellas County is that their public records are also located online. You can view anything from deeds to marriage certificates, to meeting minutes, vital statistics including birth and death, and more. While there are many different ways to view records, the easiest is to use the Clerks’ homepage at https://www.mypinellasclerk.gov/. Once on the homepage, select the type of record you’re interested in, such as court records, deeds and mortgages, or submit a public records request online.

Public records requests are free and can be made for any public document, so long as you provide a justification and use the proper public requests portal at https://pinellascountyfl.govqa.us/WEBAPP/_rs/(S(bnmjhqakmbftdx3opnojuo0b))/SupportHome.aspx?sSessionID=. You can make an account or submit anonymously, and choose to get a record by email, mail, or in-person.

You can also submit forms for records or view common forms on the “Forms” tab of the homepage. If you want to view more detailed records, click on the “A-Z Service” option. This will give you a breakdown of specific records, such as meeting notes and birth and death certificates. To obtain a copy of these certificates, fees start at $19 for online requests through The Bureau of Vital Statistics of Florida.

Deeds and mortgages are also available for viewing online. For those who don’t know, deeds show information about land ownership and mortgages show information about a loan used to purchase the property. To view deeds, do a simple search using the site https://officialrecords.mypinellasclerk.org/.
