Criminal court records include everything from traffic violations to felony cases. These records are handled by the Clerk of the Circuit Court and are available for viewing online or in person at the courthouse. To view criminal court records, you can do a simple search using the site https://ccmspa.pinellascounty.org/PublicAccess/default.aspx.

Click on the “Criminal and Traffic case records” to view records by date, case number, attorney, or defendant information. You can then view information on the Case Number, Citation Number, Defendant Info, place where the case was Filed/Location/Judicial Officer, Type (Misdemeanor, traffic, felony), and Charges.

While third-party websites might offer access to public records, it is important to note that they may charge additional fees and their information may not be up-to-date or accurate. It is always best to use the official government websites for obtaining public records. Remember, like all public records, these criminal court records are free and open to the public, so if a website is charging you to view records, it most likely is not legitimate despite having .org in the site address.

It’s also worth noting that some information, such as social security numbers and medical information, is protected and cannot be viewed by the general public. This type of information will most likely be redacted. In addition, as of 2014, Sheriff Bob Gulatieri of Pinellas County has restricted public access to mugshots due to privacy concerns.
